Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Anton Tobias (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and CM Punk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Punk has chosen Be A Warrior as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Punk shoots in and drives through. Tobias sprawls well.
Punk is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Punk throws a head kick that misses.
Tobias misses with a jab, cross combination.
Punk closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Punk breaks the clinch.
Punk shoots in for a takedown but Tobias shows good takedown defense.
Punk takes the fight into the clinch.
Tobias tries to break the clinch but Punk is controlling the position.
Punk breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Tobias is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Tobias has had enough of the clinch but Punk keeps him there for the moment.

Tobias has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Punk has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Tobias is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Punk.
Punk is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Tobias asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Punk tries to score a power double leg takedown but Tobias sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Punk somewhat.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Punk throws a front kick aimed at Tobias's knee but Tobias avoids it well.

Horrible takedown by Punk or perhaps it was just good defense by Tobias which made him look bad.
Tobias throws an overhand right that lands on Punk's shoulder, as Punk tries to avoid the shot.
Tobias scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Punk doesn't seem bothered though.

Tobias connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Punk momentarily.

Tobias pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Punk back to the cage. Tobias follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Punk looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Punk drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That was a close round but I would say that Anton Tobias will probably get the nod.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Punk, right into the meat.
Punk takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Tobias feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Punks jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Punk is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Tobias.
Tobias lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Punk tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Tobias swivels and escapes.
Punk has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Tobias finds it's way round the side to connect with Punk's head.
CM Punk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Punk gets cracked there but stands up to it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Punk drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Tobias tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Punk is able to avoid easily.
Punk drives through and clinches with Tobias against the cage.
Punk has Tobias pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Tobias manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Punk's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Tobias connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Punk scrambles back to his feet.
