Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sunny Day (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kieran Foran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Foran has chosen Barbra Streisand by Duck Sauce as his entrance music. Kieran Foran will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sunny Day!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kieran Foran!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Steve Erwin and Eliza Hachem.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from Foran misses.
Day throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Foran's waist but Foran gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Day off to one side.
Foran throws a big shot that misses.
Foran looks to land a right hand but Day moved out of range.
The crowd cheers as Foran lands an impressive looking overhand right. Day doesn't seem phased though.
Kieran Foran seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Foran scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Day on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Foran takes a swing at Day's ribcage but misses.
Day tries to close the distance and clinch up but Foran swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Foran swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Day.
Foran misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Day blocks a jab.
Foran scores with a punch to the head.
Foran attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Danga de danga de dang - Foran scores with a four punch combination!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Day staying out of range there.
Day fails to land the takedown.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Foran lands a body shot.
Foran tries to circle away but Day has him pinned against the cage.
Day fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sunny Day. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Foran wants the takedown. Day is fighting it off but Foran persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Day's guard against the cage.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Foran postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Day has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Foran can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Day is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Foran has his hands clasped together but Day extends an breaks Foran's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Day.
