Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack Pot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pot's entrance music is Showering of Money. A fine choice. The crowd seem to be enjoying Williams's choice of entrance music: Big Bad Wolf by Duck Sauce. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jack Pot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, David Williams!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Bruno Hogan and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pot throws a low kick but Williams avoids it.
Pot moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Williams swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Williams.

Williams closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Pot to the mat! Pot manages to get full guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Williams throwing strikes from guard but Pot blocks nicely.
Williams stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pot swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Williams controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Williams postures up in Pot's guard and throws a big left but Pot blocks it.
Williams is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Williams throws a strike but Pot rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Williams wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Williams lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Pot!

Williams jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Pot is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Pot and Williams has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

OK we're going to have a standup here. David Williams hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Williams goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Pot rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Williams's guard! Nice work there by Pot!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Pot wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Williams, who protects the arm well.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The ground and pound from Pot seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Pot is looking to take a break and control but Williams is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pot looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Williams is fending him off so far but Pot persists. Nope, Williams circles away and we're back to standing.
Williams throws a head kick but Pot moves out of range.

Pot swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Horrible takedown by Williams or perhaps it was just good defense by Pot which made him look bad.
Williams stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Williams wants it to stay on the feet.
Pot has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Williams finds it's way round the side to connect with Pot's head.
Williams shoots for a takedown but Pot saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Williams shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Williams was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Williams wants to control the pace but Pot is squirming around nicely.

Williams unloads with some shots from mount but Pot bucks and avoids them well.
Pot is squirming around, avoiding Williams's attempts to control the action.

Pot has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Williams is working away from the top position though.
Williams thows a huge punch but Pot dodges it nicely.

Williams throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Pot to regain full guard.

Pot has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Williams doesn't defend quickly enough and Pot has managed to lock this one up! Can Williams escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Pot on a fantastic submission victory.
