PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jackie Moon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mohammed Ali (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ali has chosen General Levy - Professional Ganja Smoker as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Wesley Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ali throws a lazy uppercut
and Moon counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Ali takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Ali rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Moon connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Moon keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Ali takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Ali throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Moon.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Moon wants to clinch.
Ali slips a jab from Moon.
Moon uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Ali.
Ali misses with an uppercut.
A big right from Ali misses.
Moon closes the distance but Ali moves to the side
and Ali counters with a nice body kick.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Ali, as that shot connected.
Ali has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Moon.

Moon gets caught napping as Ali dives in and scores a takedown. Moon manages to retain guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Horrible takedown by Moon or perhaps it was just good defense by Ali which made him look bad.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ali swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Moon blocks a jab.
Moon misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Ali.
Moon keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Moon sizes up Ali with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Moon throws a head kick that misses.
Moon misses with a body kick.
Moon thuds a left hand into Ali's body.
Moon lands a leg kick that knocks Ali off balance momentarily.
Ali thows a left - swing and a miss!
Moon is looking to score with low kicks.

Ali ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Ali uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Moon.
Ali throws a big shot that misses.
Ali throws a right and a left that both miss.
Ali lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Moon circles away quickly and effectively.
Ali throws a head kick but Moon moves out of range.
Ali misses with an uppercut. Moon saw that one coming.
Ali takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Moon throws a jab when Ali was well out of range.
Moon doesn't manage to clinch there - Ali circles away.
Moon getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Ali closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Ali might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Moon scores with a hook to the body. Ali takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Moon lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Ali misses with a right hand

and Moon counters with a takedown into side control.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ali is trying to get back to half guard.
Moon working the ground and pound.
Ali manages to work his way to half guard, despite Moon's best efforts.
Moon winds up and cracks Ali with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Ali wants to control but Moon is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Moon is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Ali regains full guard. Nicely done.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Ali not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Ali manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Moon manages to get himself to full guard.

Moon moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
That kick from Moon tenderised Ali's leg. Ali is trying to keep his angry face on.
Ali lands a nice shot to the body.
Jackie Moon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ali chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Moon can pounce on him.
Moon tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Ali misses with an uppercut. Moon saw that one coming.

Moon darts in and clinches Ali up against the cage.
Moon tries to throw a body punch but Ali avoids it by throwing Moon back against the cage.
Moon prevents Ali from breaking the clinch.
Ali is looking to control Moon's arms but Moon gets an underhook and turns him. Now Ali has his back to the cage.

Ali has picked Moon up - he's going for a ride! Ali dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Ali passes to side control.

Ali with the ground and pound but Moon regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Ali tries to pass the half guard into mount. Moon knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Moon tries to get to full guard but Ali has control of the leg.
Ali seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Moon does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Ali throwing shots but Moon is blocking nicely.
Moon gets back to full guard.
Moon looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ali is one step ahead there.

Ali wants to control from the top but Moon keeps moving.

Moon looking for a triangle here. Ali is fighting it but it looks tight! Moon pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Ali is tapping out - this one is all over!

A relieved looking Jackie Moon thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
