Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jamie Gillis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mickey O Neil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gillis comes into the arena with I Don't Feel Like Dancing - Scissor Sisters blaring out of the sound system. O Neil has chosen Golden Brown as his entrance music. Mickey O Neil has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jamie Gillis's chin.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
O Neil darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
It looks like Jamie Gillis has been cut.
Nice defenses there by O Neil.
O Neil swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Gillis throws a jab when O Neil was well out of range.
Gillis lunges at O Neil with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by O Neil's hand.
O Neil walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Gillis checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
O Neil moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Gillis moves out of range of the body kick.
O Neil moves into the clinch.
Still in the clinch, O Neil scores with a nice short uppercut.
O Neil tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

O Neil has a couple of punches blocked by Gillis.
O Neil lands a right hand that snaps the head of Gillis backwards.
O Neil lands a nice shot to the body.

O Neil tries to throw a body punch but Gillis avoids it by throwing O Neil back against the cage.
O Neil blocks an uppercut.
Gillis lands with a left to the head.

Gillis swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Gillis blocks a body shot from O Neil.
O Neil throws an elbow but it's blocked.
O Neil throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Gillis misses with a short punch on the inside.
Gillis blocks a body shot from O Neil.
Gillis lands a left hand.
Gillis misses with a punch on the inside.
Gillis breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Gillis drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
O Neil avoids the body shot from Gillis.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gillis gets cracked there but stands up to it.
O Neil throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Gillis.
Gillis is breathing heavily.
Gillis is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
O Neil takes a shot to the body in his stride.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Gillis checks a leg kick.
O Neil misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Gillis.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
O Neil tries to clinch there but Gillis circles away.
O Neil misses with an uppercut. Gillis saw that one coming.
O Neil lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
O Neil waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Gillis. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Gillis to the canvas! Can he finish him!?
Gillis is rocked!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
O Neil working some strikes from top position.
Oh Gillis is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
O Neil working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Gillis's head.
O Neil must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
O Neil postures up and lands a big shot to Gillis's brow.
O Neil throwing strikes from guard but Gillis blocks nicely.
O Neil tries to free his leg and advance position but Gillis is retaining full guard.
O Neil wants to control from the top but Gillis keeps moving.
Gillis seems to have got his legs back now.

Gillis gets full guard.
Gillis lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for O Neil!

Gillis thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
O Neil tries to hold on but Gillis pushes him away.
Gillis lands a big elbow.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

O Neil is in all sorts of trouble here.

Gillis has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of O Neil's face.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
O Neil is wriggling around trying to escape.

Gillis lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Mickey O Neil will probably get the nod.

That's time! Back to the action!
O Neil walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Gillis swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!

Jamie Gillis spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
