Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maurice Jones Drew (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lenik Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Khan has chosen Mr. Crowley as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khan looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Jones Drew lands a nice shot to the body.
Khan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Jones Drew paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Jones Drew works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Jones Drew rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Khan moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Jones Drew swats away the attempt to clinch by Khan.

Jones Drew seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jones Drew accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Khan wants to get back to his feet but Jones Drew is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Khan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

It looks like Lenik Khan has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Jones Drew closes the distance and clinches up with Khan, looking for a takedown. Jones Drew pushes Khan against the ropes but Khan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Maurice Jones Drew. That's going to take a lot out of him.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Khan can do anything to dispel that myth.

The cut above Lenik Khan's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Lenik Khan's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
