Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dave Dobinski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Steven Conner!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Damien Edna and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Conner swats away the attempt to clinch by Dobinski.
Dobinski shoots in for a takedown but Conner shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Conner blocks a head kick by Dobinski.

Conner clinches up against the cage.

Conner gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Dobinski regains guard.
Dobinski trying to keep a closed guard but Conner is proving a slippery customer.
Conner is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Dobinski keeping moving, preventing Conner from controlling successfully.
Conner advances to half guard.
Conner not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Conner thows a huge punch but Dobinski dodges it nicely.
Conner controlling the action here.

Conner thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Dobinski's head.
Conner is trying to control. Dobinski wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dobinski looks like he's trying to stand up.
Dobinski keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Dobinski knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Conner on the ground.
Conner wants to control but Dobinski is keeping him busy.
Conner not doing much here.
Conner passes to full mount!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Conner is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Dobinski can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Conner is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Dobinski is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Dobinski flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Conner anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Dobinski and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Conner slips an arm under Dobinski chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Conner has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Conner is squeezing on Dobinski like an anaconda would it's prey. Dobinski fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Steven Conner!
After winning the bout, Steven Conner thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
