The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Lewis with that takedown attempt.

Wumba rushes Lewis and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Wumba breaks from the clinch.
Lewis has a takedown stuffed.
A left lands for Wumba.
Chumba Wumba seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lewis shoots for a double leg takedown but Wumba sprawls well. He's pushed Lewis's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Lewis tries to move into range but Wumba moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Lewis shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Wumba defends it nicely.

Wumba pushes Lewis back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Lewis looks gassed!

Wumba breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Wumba throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Lewis stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Wumba lands a really nice looking cross but Lewis seems unphased.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Wumba is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Wumba manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lewis manages to get himself to full guard.

Lewis gets tackled into the cage by Wumba. Wumba maintains the clinch.

Wumba gets control of Lewis's arms and successfully pulls guard. Wumba will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Wumba cracks Lewis with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Lewis is trying desperately to land a takedown but Wumba is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Lewis.
Wumba sizes up Lewis with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Lewis dives in and grabs Wumba's left leg, looking for a takedown. Wumba pushes down on Lewis's head and hops out.

Lewis is looking to work some ground and pound but Wumba has wrist control.
Wumba is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Lewis can do to turn this around?

Wumba lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Wumba sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Lewis's defenses. It connects perfectly with Lewis's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
