The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roberts tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

It looks like Jake Roberts has been cut.
Jake Roberts seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Roberts is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Paneda's shoulder. That is not cool.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Tabachoy Paneda hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Paneda takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Paneda has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Roberts uses from the top position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Roberts crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Paneda - the referee stops the clock and Roberts gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Paneda. Roberts manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Paneda connects with a nice short shot to Roberts's temple.

Well Paneda has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
