Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lukasz Kozyra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stanton Friedmon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Friedmon is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Come Get on the Ho Train. Lukasz Kozyra has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lukasz Kozyra!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Stanton Friedmon!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kozyra goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Kozyra pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Kozyra throws a body punch but Friedmon moves out of range.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Friedmon crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Kozyra - the referee stops the clock and Friedmon gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Kozyra. Friedmon manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Kozyra lands a head kick!
An inside leg kick lands from Kozyra.
Friedmon tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Kozyra manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Kozyra dives in and grabs Friedmon's left leg, looking for a takedown. Friedmon pushes down on Kozyra's head and hops out.
Kozyra tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Friedmon is able to avoid easily.
Friedmon is looking to clinch but Kozyra is avoiding it.
Friedmon tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Kozyra looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Friedmon is fending him off so far but Kozyra persists. Nope, Friedmon circles away and we're back to standing.

Friedmon throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Kozyra tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Friedmon is in Kozyra's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Friedmon looking to sit in guard and control but Kozyra gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Friedmon is looking for a triangle but Kozyra pushes his legs off easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kozyra looking to pass the guard.
Friedmon manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Friedmon cracks Kozyra with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Friedmon looking to control but Kozyra is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Friedmon fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Kozyra is wriggling around trying to escape.
Friedmon is landing with some decent strikes but Kozyra is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Friedmon with a couple of short strikes.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Friedmon is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Kozyra can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Kozyra really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Friedmon is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Friedmon extends the arm and Kozyra is forced to tap!
