Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Lou da Vinci and Dean Styles.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banner shoots and misses
and Archer connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Banner misses with a hook. Archer ducked under it nicely.
Banner looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Archer is fending him off so far but Banner persists. Nope, Archer circles away and we're back to standing.
Nice sprawl there from Archer as Banner shoots in.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lamont Banner. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Banner has his takedown stuffed
and Archer counters with an inside leg kick.
Archer just misses with a punch to the body.
Archer throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Archer misses with a looping right.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Banner misses with a wild body shot.
Banner drops his hands momentarily and Archer takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Archer changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Archer fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Banner checks the leg kick nicely there.
Banner showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Archer.
Banner fails with the takedown.
Banner is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Archer.
Aaron Archer is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Archer pivots, looking for a leg kick but Banner is out of range and Archer settles back down.
Banner shoots for a double leg takedown but Archer sprawls well. He's pushed Banner's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Archer bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Banner's head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Banner drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Archer is looking to regain half guard here but Banner keeps moving and retains side control.

Banner tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Banner has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Banner is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Archer looks calm but he's in trouble here. Banner gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Archer is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Banner lets go of the hold and Archer can pop his arm back in it's socket.
