The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guy fails with a takedown attempt.
Guy misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Guy shoots in for a takedown but Brandao shows good takedown defense.
Diego Brandao has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of New Tall Guy.
Brandao misses with a straight right.
Guy uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Brandao.
Brandao stuffs the takedown.
Nice shot lands for Brandao.

It looks like New Tall Guy has been cut.
Guy throws a sloppy head kick and Brandao moves out of range easily.
Guy shoots in for a takedown but Brandao shows good takedown defense.

Guy shoots for a double leg takedown but Brandao sprawls well. He's pushed Guy's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Brandao sends Guy crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Brandao is motioning to the referee to let Guy up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Guy is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Guy fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Brandao avoids it really well and circles away.
Guy is still on wobbly legs! Can Brandao finish him?
Guy looks gassed!
Guy slips under a jab from Brandao.
A big right from Brandao misses.
Brandao throws a big shot that misses.
Brandao looks to throw the jab but Guy is out of range.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Guy is defended easily by Brandao.
Brandao looks to land a left hand but Guy moved out of range nicely.
Brandao stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Brandao wants it to stay on the feet.
Guy seems to have recovered his senses.
Guy moves out of range of the strikes.

Guy moves away from the strike by Brandao.

Guy shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Brandao is trying to defend but Guy finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Guy is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Brandao is just riding it out for now. Guy eventually gives up the hold.

Guy is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Brandao sees it coming and defends easily.
Guy stops Brandao from getting back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Guy thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Brandao's head.
Brandao wants to get back to his feet.
Brandao is staying active underneath Guy, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Brandao is trying to stand.

Guy stands up from half guard.
Guy looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Guy moves out of range of the strikes.
Guy throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Brandao's waist but Brandao gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Guy off to one side.
Guy shoots in and drives through. Brandao sprawls well.
Brandao looks to land a right hand but Guy moved out of range.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Guy looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Guy shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Brandao pinned against the cage. Brandao gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Brandao scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

That has opened up New Tall Guy's cut even more.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Guy tries for a takedown but Brandao sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
