Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Grimly Fiendish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darrius Styles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Darrius Styles will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fiendish closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Styles works his way to full guard. Good work.
Fiendish not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Styles is trying to keep Fiendish in close.
Fiendish controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Fiendish trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Grimly Fiendish just wasn't active enough.

Styles gets caught napping as Fiendish dives in and scores a takedown. Styles manages to retain guard.
Fiendish controls from within his opponent's guard.
Styles wants to control the position but Fiendish says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

Fiendish has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Styles tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Fiendish lands some shots froms side control.
Styles tries to buck Fiendish off but Fiendish is having none of it.

Styles manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Fiendish seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Styles for as long as he can get away with.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Grimly Fiendish.

Fiendish shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Styles manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Styles wants to sweep here but Fiendish controlling him for the moment.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Styles shoots in but no luck this time.

Fiendish darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Fiendish looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Styles is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Fiendish trying to mount his opponent but Styles defends it.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Fiendish keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Grimly Fiendish just wasn't active enough.
Styles shoots for a takedown but Fiendish saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Fiendish, as that shot connected.
Fiendish throws a right and a left that Styles avoids nicely.

Fiendish shoots in and bounces Styles off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Fiendish seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Fiendish works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Styles is looking to improve his position.
Fiendish perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Styles is looking for a sweep. Fiendish is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Fiendish landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Styles tries to get to full guard but Fiendish has control of the leg.
Fiendish uses his free foot to push down on Styles's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Styles.

Fiendish tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Styles is in a horrible position here. Fiendish smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Styles moves in looking to clinch but Fiendish pushes him off.
Fiendish scores with a crisp jab that stopped Styles in his tracks.

Fiendish is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Grimly Fiendish overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Styles can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Fiendish controls the pace.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Styles fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Fiendish shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Fiendish was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fiendish softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Styles is out cold! Fiendish jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!
