PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Giorgio Chiellini (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Trutka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chiellini comes to the cage accompanied by Riders on the strorm. Trutka is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Against Me! - Thrash Unreal. Robert Trutka is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chiellini throws a chopping leg kick but Trutka manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Chiellini instigates a clinch.

Chiellini drags the fight down to the ground.
Trutka wants to stand and escape but instead Chiellini has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Chiellini engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Chiellini content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Chiellini gets to his feet - Trutka follows without any prompting.
Chiellini lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Trutka moves into the clinch.

Chiellini has Trutka pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Chiellini pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Trutka tumbling to the mat - Chiellini dives into Trutka's guard.

Trutka wants to stand but Chiellini is controlling the position.

Chiellini slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Giorgio Chiellini has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Chiellini shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Trutka's guard.
Chiellini is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Chiellini stands and steps away. Trutka gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Trutka moves to clinch but Chiellini breaks away

and Chiellini counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Trutka's guard now.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Chiellini drops back looking for a leg! Trutka is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Trutka manages to kick Chiellini off! Chiellini jumps back into Trutka's guard.

Chiellini is working Trutka over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Chiellini is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Trutka is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Chiellini asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Chiellini remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Trutka seems a little lost for a moment, as Chiellini dominates the positioning.
Trutka wants to get back to his feet but Chiellini is dominant here and he's now got Trutka's back!

Chiellini scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
Trutka is trapped and Chiellini is scoring with shots to the head and body.

Chiellini is cranking Trutka's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Trutka! He's tightened the choke and Trutka is tapping out!
