Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rony Mariano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Chase (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Mariano might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to So Far Away. Michael Chase looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mariano swats away the attempt to clinch by Chase.
Chase looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Mariano shoots and misses
and Chase counters with a series of strikes. Mariano will be more careful next time no doubt.
Chase misses with a wild combination.
Mariano changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Chase tries to avoid it but Mariano manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Chase to the ground. Chase escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Chase tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Mariano manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Mariano shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Chase is trying to defend but Mariano finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Mariano is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Chase sees it coming and defends easily.
Mariano is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Chase reverses the position - he's now on top in Mariano 's guard.

Mariano is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mariano is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Mariano is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Chase is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

After winning the bout, Rony Mariano thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
