And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Albert Guansing!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Jeff Smith and Paul Gruel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guansing stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Guansing wants it to stay on the feet.
Bailey blocks a jab.

Bailey shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Guansing's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bailey cracks Guansing with a solid left hand.
Bailey is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bailey postures up and lands a big shot to Guansing's brow.
Bailey controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Bailey is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Guansing is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Bailey is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Brice Bailey wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Guansing looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Bailey fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bailey.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brice Bailey. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Guansing cracks the inside of Bailey's front leg.

Bailey looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Bailey is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Guansing is just riding it out for now. Bailey eventually gives up the hold.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bailey is taking a breather. Guansing says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Bailey is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Guansing is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
