Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Diego Mauricio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Douglas Quaid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mauricio's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Deixa os Garoto Brinca. Mauricio is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Douglas Quaid is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quaid fails with a takedown attempt.
Mauricio is breathing heavily.
Quaid fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mauricio manages to avoid it.

Quaid fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Mauricio sprawls well initially but Quaid persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Quaid looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mauricio with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Quaid winds up and cracks Mauricio with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Quaid has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Quaid seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Quaid tries to pass the half guard into mount. Mauricio knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Quaid takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Quaid is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Mauricio doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Quaid.
