Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Carlito Brigante!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Zolt Hengan!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Damien Edna and Winston Howard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hengan looks to land a combination. Brigante sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

It looks like Carlito Brigante has been cut.
Hengan lands a nice shot to the body.
Brigante connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Hengan momentarily.

It looks like Zolt Hengan has been cut.
Hengan ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Brigante moves away.
Hengan takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Brigante lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
A punch combination from Brigante misses.
Hengan moves in looking to clinch but Brigante pushes him off.
Hengan shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Brigante thows a body shot but no joy.
Brigante bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Hengan's head backwards.
Hengan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Brigante tries to avoid it but Hengan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Brigante to the ground. Brigante escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Hengan bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Brigante! He dives into his guard looking to finish!

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Hengan is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Oh Brigante is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Hengan drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Brigante dives on top into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hengan is looking for a triangle but Brigante pushes his legs off easily.

Hengan has his foot on Brigante's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Brigante works his way back into a safe position though.
Brigante has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Hengan is proving hard to escape from.

Hengan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Brigante can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Hengan had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Brigante defends it easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Brigante got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hengan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Brigante has managed to get both his arms back between Hengan's legs - danger averted.

Brigante throws a right and a left that both miss.
Hengan closes this distance looking for a takedown but Brigante circles away.
Hengan throws a right hand that Brigante ducks under and follows up with a left that Brigante also avoids with ease.
Brigante lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Hengan at a distance.
Brigante moves into range and connects with a jab.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Brigante connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

That has opened up Zolt Hengan's cut even more.
Brigante throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hengan is breathing heavily.
Hengan misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Nice shot lands for Brigante.

Hengan fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Brigante sprawls well initially but Hengan persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Hengan throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Hengan seems to be looking for submissions.
Hengan thows a huge punch but Brigante dodges it nicely.
Hengan thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Brigante's head.
Brigante is staying active underneath Hengan, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Carlito Brigante decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
