The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beast tries for a takedown but McBride circles away easily

and McBride counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by McBride.
McBride looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
McBride looking to sit in guard and control but Beast gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Beast decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Beast shoots for a takedown but McBride saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Beast doesn't succeed with the takedown

so McBride counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Brian McBride has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of The Beast.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
McBride would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

McBride is sitting in close to Beast's body. Beast has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! McBride is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, McBride is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Beast.
