PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Brugnolo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tsatsu Gomi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brugnolo kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Vasco Rossi - Fammi Godere. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gomi drops back, looking for a kneebar! Brugnolo looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Brugnolo looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Brugnolo!
Gomi is looking to reverse the position.

Gomi is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Gomi has eaten all the pies!

Gomi closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Gomi tries to move to mount but Brugnolo blocks the move with his legs.

Gomi is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Brugnolo looks calm but he's in trouble here. Gomi gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Brugnolo is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Gomi lets go of the hold and Brugnolo can pop his arm back in it's socket.
