The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kivi lands with an uppercut that bounces Varvaskoukku off the ropes and back into range.
Varvaskoukku fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Kivi tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Varvaskoukku was well out of range. Poor timing from Kivi.
Kivi lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
