Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Davy Bauwens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lee Takashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lee Takashi will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Davy Bauwens!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lee Takashi!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takashi swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Bauwens misses with a straight left.
Takashi lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Bauwens shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Takashi looks to score with a jab to the body but Bauwens is just out of range.
Bauwens blocks a jab.
Takashi keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Bauwens bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Takashi throws a leg kick that misses.
Takashi throws a hook to the side of Bauwens's head but Bauwens sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Takashi throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Decent striking displayed by Takashi there.
Bauwens dives in and grabs Takashi's left leg, looking for a takedown. Takashi pushes down on Bauwens's head and hops out.
Bauwens moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Takashi takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bauwens uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Takashi.
Takashi lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Bauwens looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Takashi is fending him off so far but Bauwens persists. Nope, Takashi circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Davy Bauwens. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Takashi throws a hook to the side of Bauwens's head but Bauwens sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Lee Takashi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Bauwens shoots in and drives through. Takashi sprawls well.

Takashi fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Bauwens checks it well.
Lee Takashi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bauwens just misses with a punch to the body.
A telegraphed right hand from Takashi misses the target.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Bauwens drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Bauwens postures up.

Bauwens stands up from guard. Let's bang!
A cross from Takashi lands.
Takashi moves in looking to clinch but Bauwens pushes him off.
Takashi swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Bauwens really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Bauwens tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Takashi is able to avoid easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Takashi looks to throw the jab but Bauwens is out of range.
Takashi digs a good hook to Bauwens's body.
A combination from Bauwens does no damage.
Takashi throws a hook to the side of Bauwens's head but Bauwens sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Takashi misses with a jab, cross combination.
Bauwens bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Takashi dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Takashi lands a jab.
A jab from Takashi does it's job there.
Bauwens on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Takashi is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Bauwens had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Takashi wants to clinch up but Bauwens keeps it at a distance.
Takashi scores with a jab to the jaw.

Bauwens moves into the clinch successfully.
Takashi lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!


Bauwens is rocked!
Takashi lands a big knee to the head and Bauwens goes down! Takashi pounces and finishes the fight with strikes! He jumps to his feet and celebrates with the crowd!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lee Takashi!
