The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rose shoots in for a double leg but Monsterkill sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Rose shoots in looking for a takedown. Monsterkill tries to sprawl out of it but Rose keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Monsterkill manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
No luck for Rose with that takedown attempt.

Monsterkill tries to bum rush Rose with a series of wild strikes but Rose uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Horrible takedown by Rose or perhaps it was just good defense by Monsterkill which made him look bad.

Rose gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Rose tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Monsterkill is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Rose buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Rose!! Rose is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Monsterkill throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
