Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Xavier Folsom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dean Corcoran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Folsom comes to the cage accompanied by Hightower Is Mad. Corcoran has chosen Lonely Boy as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Xavier Folsom!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Dean Corcoran!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Corcoran will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Folsom scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Corcoran doesn't seem bothered though.

Corcoran closes the distance and pushes Folsom back into the cage.
Folsom on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Folsom takes an elbow to the temple.
Corcoran using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Folsom really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Corcoran throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Folsoms head.

Folsom lands a hook that snaps the head of Corcoran backwards.

Corcoran putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Folsom in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Folsom lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Folsom pulls guard.

Folsom looking for a guillotine here but Corcoran defends easily.

Folsom throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Corcoran stands and steps away. Folsom gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Folsom throws a punch but it's blocked by Corcoran.

Folsom tries to break the clinch but Corcoran is controlling the position.
Folsom tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Corcoran's elbow.

Corcoran looks gassed!
Corcoran is trying to push Folsom away but Folsom has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Folsom throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Corcorans head.

Folsom decides to pull guard.

Folsom utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Folsom can't keep his opponent in guard - Corcoran advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Corcoran slows the pace down in half guard.
Corcoran wants to stand up but Folsom is controlling the position.
Folsom wants to get back to full guard.
Corcoran is trying to control the action in half guard but Folsom is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Folsom slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Corcoran in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Folsom working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Corcoran doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Corcoran manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Corcoran looking to improve position, pressing down on Folsom's thigh with his hand. Folsom seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Corcoran paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Corcoran's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Folsom picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Xavier Folsom!
In his post fight interview, Xavier Folsom gave a big smile as he said 'No matter the outcome, it was an honor to fight again and settle the draw, THANK YOU TOKYO!!!!'.
