Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Miki Zdravkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damien OQuinn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Miki Zdravkov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Damien OQuinn!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Colin Fray and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from OQuinn as Zdravkov shoots in.
Zdravkov looks for a takedown but OQuinn sprawls well.
Zdravkov shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with OQuinn but OQuinn pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Miki Zdravkov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Zdravkov fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but OQuinn avoids it really well and circles away.

OQuinn shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Zdravkov's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
OQuinn working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
OQuinn trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Zdravkov wants to stand and escape but OQuinn is having none of it.
Zdravkov keeping moving, preventing OQuinn from controlling successfully.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as OQuinn accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
OQuinn preventing the sweep.
OQuinn tries to free his leg and advance position but Zdravkov is retaining full guard.
OQuinn is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
OQuinn stands and throws Zdravkov's legs to the side, diving into side control.
A lull in the action here as OQuinn stalls from top position.

Zdravkov tries to buck OQuinn off but OQuinn is having none of it.
Zdravkov is breathing heavily.

OQuinn tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
OQuinn wants to lay and pray for a moment but Zdravkov keeps working.
OQuinn takes a little break here. Zdravkov wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Zdravkov is trying to escape the position but OQuinn is controlling the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
OQuinn lands a nice forearm strike.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
OQuinn wants to lay and pray for a moment but Zdravkov keeps working.
OQuinn in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Let's hope that OQuinn has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Zdravkov takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Zdravkov throwing some weak shots from the bottom that do no damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Zdravkov is letting OQuinn control him for a moment.
OQuinn looks up at the clock and then as Zdravkov takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, OQuinn smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
OQuinn slows the pace down.
Zdravkov really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Zdravkov on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Zdravkov can't do much from the bottom here.
Zdravkov seems a little lost for a moment, as OQuinn dominates the positioning.
It looks like OQuinn might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Zdravkov is not content to let OQuinn control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Damien OQuinn dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Zdravkov swings and misses with a hook to the body.

and OQuinn counters with a nice double leg into side control. Zdravkov won't be happy with that.
OQuinn is putting a hurting on Zdravkov here, landing some big shots from side control.
Zdravkov tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Zdravkov is not content to let OQuinn control the position.
Zdravkov is trying to improve his position.
Damien OQuinn has got the better of the ground game so far.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
OQuinn is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

OQuinn cracks Zdravkov with a big elbow.
OQuinn tries to advance to mount but can't.
Zdravkov is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
OQuinn lands a decent elbow from side control.
OQuinn trying to control the position but Zdravkov is working away.
OQuinn is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
OQuinn advances nicely into full mount.
OQuinn controlling the position easily from mount.
OQuinn lands a big shot there that rocks Zdravkov but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
OQuinn scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
OQuinn fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!


Zdravkov is rocked!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Zdravkov is in a horrible position here. OQuinn smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Oh Zdravkov is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Zdravkov takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! OQuinn's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Damien OQuinn!
Our winner, Damien OQuinn, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
