Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shawn Woolett!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, BJ Ferguson!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Wesley Smith and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woolett misses with a takedown attempt
and Ferguson counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Woolett's guard now.
Jeez, both these guys look absolutely knackered already, that's not a good sign!
Woolett has his foot on Ferguson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ferguson works his way back into a safe position though.
Woolett will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Ferguson sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Woolett isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Ferguson stacks Woolett on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Ferguson!
Ferguson decides to stand back up. Ferguson steps back and let's Woolett get back to his feet.
Woolett shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ferguson sprawls well. Ferguson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Woolett gets slowly back to his feet.
Woolett gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Ferguson to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Woolett had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ferguson defends it easily.
Ferguson scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Ferguson wants to control from the top but Woolett keeps moving.
Woolett throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Ferguson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Ferguson controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Woolett looking for subs off his back but Ferguson has passed one foot through into half guard.
Ferguson trying to mount his opponent but Woolett defends it.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Woolett is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Ferguson pulls his head out easily.
Woolett really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Woolett wants to sweep but Ferguson has passed to side control!
Ferguson wants to control but Woolett is keeping him busy.
Ferguson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Woolett knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Ferguson is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Woolett is trying to escape and Ferguson transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Woolett is forced to tap! Nice work there by Ferguson! Very nice indeed!

As BJ Ferguson got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: I hope the owner watched this fight and how good i did. being 3-1 now i want him to no i will be bantamweight champion!
