Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fred Don (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Power (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Don takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Don shoots in but no luck this time.
Power moves out of range of the body kick.

Don shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Don was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Power is working to get back to half guard.
Don lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Power tries to hold on but Don pushes him away.
Power can't escape the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Don controlling his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Power is looking to improve his position but Don isn't that keen on the idea.
Don content just to control the position here.

Don swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Power is now in Don's guard. A big mistake from Don there, giving up the dominant position!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Power wants to control from the top but Don keeps moving.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Power is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Don leaves Power with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Power gets caught flat footed, as Don shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Don postures up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Don showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Power is looking to stand up but Don isn't so interested in that idea.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Don's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Don wants to stand but Power is controlling his posture from full guard.
Power is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Don trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Don is working hard here to advance position.
Don stopping the sweep attempt from Power.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Don gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Don is trying to push Power away but Power has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Power keeps control of Don as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Power has Don pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Don manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fred Don dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Don is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Power's half guard.
Don throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Power trying to control but Don postures up.

Don wants to work for an arm triangle but Power is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Don keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Don is pressing down on Power's thigh, looking to free his foot. Power is holding on for now.
Don stalling.

Don seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Power for as long as he can get away with.
Ground and pound from Don.
Don sitting and controlling from the half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We're going to have a standup here because Fred Don wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Power misses with a takedown attempt

and Don shoots in, scooping Power off his feet. Don is holding his opponent over his shoulder. He slams Power to the mat and Power is in big trouble! Don is landing strikes to his unconscious foe and the ref dives in to end the fight! Don is celebrating with his corner and rightfully so.
