PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Draught Papillia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy McDonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Papillia comes to the cage accompanied by I dont know what those two ladies were singing about that day. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Papillia lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
McDonald misses with a straight left.

McDonald shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Papillia napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

McDonald shoots in looking for a takedown. Papillia tries to sprawl out of it but McDonald keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Papillia manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

After the fight, Tommy McDonald was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
