Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Summer Carpenter and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kirby with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Kirby dodges the punch combination from Draft.
Kirby scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Kirby fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Draft on the side of the head.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Kirby - that will leave a mark!
Draft takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Kirby throws a series of punches but Draft avoids them all with ease.
Kirby avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Draft tries to bum rush Kirby with a series of wild strikes but Kirby uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Draft takes a head kick and keeps coming.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Kirby.
Kirby fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Draft.
Kirby is looking to land body kicks.
Kirby forces Draft back against the cage and clinches.

Kirby stops a takedown attempt from Draft.
Draft gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Kirby regains guard.
Draft postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Kirby looking to hit a scissor sweep but Draft is one step ahead there.

Draft tries to free his leg and advance position but Kirby is retaining full guard.
Draft has gone for a leg lock! Kirby slips out almost immediately though and dives into Draft's guard.

Kirby has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Kirby stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Draft swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Draft looking for a guillotine here but Kirby defends easily.

Kirby is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Draft looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Kirby passes into half guard.

Draft has one foot on Kirby's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Kirby moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
A big right from Draft misses.
Kirby misses with a body shot.
Draft throws a series of punches but Kirby avoids them all with ease.
Draft rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kirby moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's time! Kirby's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Kirby scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Draft doesn't seem bothered though.
Draft checks a low kick from Kirby.
Draft changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kirby tries to avoid it but Draft manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kirby to the ground. Kirby escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Kirby connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Draft momentarily.
Kirby connects with a solid leg kick.
Kirby throws a front kick that sends Draft stumbling back into the cage.
Draft fails with a takedown attempt.
Good leg kick by Kirby there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Draft doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Kirby throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Draft's head.
Draft circles away from the clinch attempt.
Draft tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Stone Kirby seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Draft takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Draft is breathing heavily.
Kirby ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Kirby tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Draft manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Stone Kirby is winning the standup battle so far.
Kirby throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Stone Kirby is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Draft takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Draft's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Kirby cracks Draft with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Kirby tries to close the distance and clinch up but Draft swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Kirby lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Kirby feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Draft's calf.
Kirby fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Draft.

Draft pushes Kirby up against the cage in a clinch.
Draft tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Kirby's elbow.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Kirby breaks from the clinch.
Kirby takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Draft has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Kirby.

Kirby connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

and Kirby takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Kirby swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kirby slaps away a takedown attempt from Draft, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Stone Kirby has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Louey Draft.
Kirby moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Kirby ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Kirby thuds a left hand into Draft's body.

Louey Draft is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kirby, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
