These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Johanson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A chopping leg kick lands by Fedor.
Johanson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Fedor throws a right and a left that both miss.
Fedor throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Johanson counters with a one-two to the body.

Fedor is rocked!
Johanson throws a left and a right that both miss
and Fedor counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Fedor is still on wobbly legs! Can Johanson finish him?
Johanson is breathing heavily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Fedor misses with a double jab.
Fedor seems to have recovered his senses.
Fedor will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Johanson sizes up Fedor with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Fedor moves into range and clinches up with Johanson.
Johanson is trying to break the clinch but Fedor has him pressed against the cage.

Fedor escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Johanson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Fedor throws a combination that misses
enabling Johanson to counter with a crisp jab.

Johanson circles away from the clinch attempt
and Johanson makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Fedor throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Johanson.
Some wild striking there from Johanson.
A punch combination from Johanson misses.
American Fedor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Horrible takedown by Johanson or perhaps it was just good defense by Fedor which made him look bad.
Fedor swings and misses with a hook to the body.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Fedor drops Johanson with a nice combination! Fedor dives into Johanson's guard, looking to finish!

Fedor stands up and waves to Johanson to follow him.
Oh Johanson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fedor shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Johanson takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Fedor sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Johanson bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!
