The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yrttiseppa shoots in for a takedown but Brown shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Yrttiseppa avoids the head kick by Brown.
Brown throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Brown tries to land a front kick but Yrttiseppa steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Brown lands a big head kick that sends Yrttiseppa tumbling to the mat! Brown takes a step backwards and waves Yrttiseppa back to his feet - he wants the finish!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Yrttiseppa seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
