Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mini Mies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Craig Murdock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mini Mies!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Craig Murdock!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Edson Gomes and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mies misses with a two punch combination.
Nice defenses there by Murdock.
Murdock swats away the attempt to clinch by Mies.
Nice takedown defense from Mies. No joy for Murdock on that attempt.
Mies closes the distance and pushes Murdock back into the cage.
Murdock drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Mies gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Murdock drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Mini Mies has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Craig Murdock.
Murdock breaks from the clinch.
Mies moves into the clinch successfully.
Mies manages to break the clinch.
Murdock shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mies as he jumps to the side.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The fight stays on the outside here - Murdock looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Murdock shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Murdock throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Murdock content to control rather than advance.
Murdock looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mies with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Murdock seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Murdock is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Mies doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Murdock.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mies is trying to stand.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Murdock passes the guard and advances to mount!
Murdock working for a guillotine from mount but Mies is in no mood to give up.

Murdock landing punches.
Mies knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Murdock on the ground.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Murdock controlling the position easily from mount.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Murdock working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Mies turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Murdock off and cradles Mies's limp body as Murdock celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Craig Murdock!
