The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steele looks to land a right hand but Galustyan moved out of range.
Galustyan uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Steele.

Steele has managed to clinch.

Galustyan turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Galustyan manages to end up in side control.
Galustyan working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Galustyan looking to control but instead Steele has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
Galustyan thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Steele's head.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Galustyan drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Steele dives on top into guard.
Steele stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Galustyan swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Steele uses his free foot to push down on Galustyan's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Galustyan.

Steele can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Galustyan is looking to escape.

Galustyan closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Steele's guard.
Galustyan chips away with some ground and pound.
Galustyan looking to sit in guard and control but Steele gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Michael Galustyan will probably get the nod.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Steele jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Galustyan manages to avoid the submission attempt.
