Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Don Kier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tank King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Don Kier!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tank King!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Colin Fray and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Kier doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Kier throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. King tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Kier is in King's guard.
Kier passes King's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Kier takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Kier prevents King from improving his position.
Kier throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Kier seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
King wants to get back to full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Don Kier just wasn't active enough.
Kier shoots in but no luck this time.
King scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
King lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Kier at a distance.

Kier closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming King to the mat! King manages to get full guard.
Kier trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
King looking to control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kier missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Kier controls from within his opponent's guard.
Kier is pushing down on King's leg trying to pass to half guard. King is fighting to maintain full guard but Kier has managed to sneak the leg through.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
King trying to hold on to Kier's head to control him but Kier postures up.
King is not content to let Kier control the position.
Kier thows a huge punch but King dodges it nicely.
Kier trying to control from half guard but King is working away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
King wants to control but Kier is keeping busy.
Kier has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Kier postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for King to stand up.
King lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
King thuds a left hand into Kier's body.
King checks the leg kick nicely there.
King lands a right hook to the body.
King stuns Kier with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Kier closes the distance and clinches.

Kier pulls King into guard.
Kier looking for a sweep. Not yet Kier, not yet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
King wants to control from the top but Kier keeps moving.
King is looking to stand up but Kier won't let him.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kier keeping full guard, as King tries to pass.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Tank King hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Kier takes a shot right to the bread basket.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kier closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. King quickly recovers to half guard.
Kier stalling.

Kier seems to be working for a kimura but King defends the submission attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Don Kier dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Kier looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
King connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
King slaps away a takedown attempt from Kier, before circling back to the center of the mat.
King lands a nice hook to Kier's body. Kier takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
King scores with a jab to the jaw.


Kier is rocked!
King lands with a big right hook that stumbles Kier - he's out on his feet here! King follows up with another monster hook that separates Kier from consciousness! Kier falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! King stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Tank King!
