Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Jameson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Hugh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jameson comes to the ring accompanied by Thin Lizzy - The Boys Are Back. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hugh shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Hugh was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Jameson wants to get back to his feet.

Hugh jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Jameson manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Jameson wants to control but Hugh postures up.

Hugh prevents Jameson from escaping the position.
Jameson is trying to control Hugh's posture but Hugh avoids it.

Hugh decides to stand up, so the ref orders Jameson to his feet.
A head kick from Jameson lands but Hugh takes it in his stride.
Jameson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Jameson throws a right and a left that both miss.

Hugh tries a low kick but Jameson avoids it.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Hugh prevents Jameson from getting the reversal.
Hugh postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Jameson looks a forlorn figure.

Hugh is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Jameson is surviving well by controlling Hugh's body position as best he can.

Jameson is in all sorts of trouble here.
Jameson tries to lock up and control but Hugh gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Jameson is wriggling around trying to escape.
Hugh lands a big elbow.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Jameson tries to get back to half guard but can't.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hugh takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hugh looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jameson is fending him off so far but Hugh persists. Nope, Jameson circles away and we're back to standing.

Hugh lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Mike Hugh was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Hugh closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Jameson is trying to control Hugh's posture but Hugh avoids it.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hugh moves out of range of the body kick from Jameson.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Jameson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Jameson is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Hugh.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Hugh has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Hugh on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Jameson goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Hugh is controlling the pace.
Jameson is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Hugh scores with a couple of nice shots.
Mike Hugh is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Well, if Hugh is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Mike Hugh hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Jameson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hugh moves away.
