Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Simija Nomurokai!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mark Coleman!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yuuki Gou and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nomurokai changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Coleman tries to avoid it but Nomurokai manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Coleman to the ground. Coleman escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Nomurokai tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Coleman counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Coleman.
Nomurokai fails with an attempt to clinch.
Nomurokai has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Nomurokai there as he acknowledges the shot.
Nomurokai fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Coleman manages to avoid it.
Nomurokai pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Nomurokai has managed to clinch.
Coleman managing to block the knees to the body from Nomurokai.
Nomurokai gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Coleman.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Coleman lands a left hand.
Nomurokai throws an elbow but it misses.
Coleman is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Nomurokai gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Simija Nomurokai has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Coleman.
Coleman prevents the takedown attempt.
Coleman is trying to break free.
Nomurokai prevents Coleman from breaking the clinch.
Nomurokai is working for takedown but Coleman is calmly controlling the position for now.
Nomurokai trying to stall but Coleman improves his position.
Nomurokai tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Nomurokai is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Coleman is defending well for now.

Coleman breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Coleman shoots in for a takedown but Nomurokai shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

and Coleman decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Nomurokai's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Coleman landing with the ground and pound.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Nomurokai working a defensive guard here.
Coleman won't allow Nomurokai to get back to his feet.

Nomurokai is wriggling around but Coleman manages to pass to half guard.
Nomurokai tries to get to full guard but Coleman has control of the leg.

Nomurokai avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Coleman.
Nomurokai is looking to improve his position.
Coleman passes into side control, despite Nomurokai's attempt to control the position.
Coleman advances to mount.
Nomurokai tries to lock up and control but Coleman gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Nomurokai keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Coleman lands a nice shot to the head.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A nice elbow there by Coleman.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Coleman scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Nomurokai?

Coleman prevents Nomurokai from getting the reversal.
Coleman has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Nomurokai throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
Coleman softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Nomurokai is out cold! Coleman jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mark Coleman!
