Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Will Rook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Justice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Rook might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Shinedown-Simple Man. Justice is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Westside Connection - Bow Down . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Ackerman and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rook tries to close the distance and clinch but Justice swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Rook tries to land a front kick but Justice steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Rook throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
A solid body kick from Rook.
Rook throws a leg kick but Justice moved away.
Rook throws a nice inside leg kick.
Rook moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Justice connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
No joy there for Rook, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Justice misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Rook closes the distance and clinches up with Justice, looking for a takedown. Rook pushes Justice against the cage but Justice circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Justice connects with a leg kick. Rook looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Justice lands a nice hook to Rook's body. Rook takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Justice ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rook moves away.

and Rook takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Justice throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Justice lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Rook has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Rook and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Rook.

Rook moves to clinch but Justice breaks away
and Justice makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Justice swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Rook.
Ivan Justice seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Rook pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Justice feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Rook sprawling to the canvas! Rook rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Justice finish him?!
