Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mathew Drens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Drens is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mathew Drens!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James King!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Chris Downing and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

King gets a double leg takedown into Drens's guard.
Drens is breathing heavily.
King wants to stand but Drens is controlling his posture from full guard.
King trying to control the position from guard on top but Drens is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. James King wasn't active enough on the ground.
King misses with an attempted mid kick.
King lands a nice looking body shot.

King closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - King lands in his opponent's guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
King trying to stand up but can't free himself from Drens's guard.
King trying to control the position from guard on top but Drens is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
King tries to free his leg and advance position but Drens is retaining full guard.
Drens looking to hit a scissor sweep but King is one step ahead there.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Drens utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Drens has a closed guard, preventing King from standing up.
King cracks Drens with a solid left hand.
Drens wants to sweep but no luck.
Drens looking to control.
King trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Drens avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
King trying to control the position from guard on top but Drens is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
King trying to stand up but can't free himself from Drens's guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Drens manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

King tries to improve his position but Drens has taken his back! Drens has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will King tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Drens pushes King away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
