Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kamikazee Blitzkrieg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cody Funke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blitzkrieg comes to the cage accompanied by The Ramones - Blitzkrieg Bop. The crowd seem to be enjoying Funke's choice of entrance music: never gonna stop. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blitzkrieg slips a jab and a cross from Funke.
Funke misses with a hook

and Blitzkrieg holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Blitzkrieg can't get the takedown.
Blitzkrieg drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Blitzkrieg wants a takedown but no success here.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kamikazee Blitzkrieg. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Funke is working for takedown but Blitzkrieg is calmly controlling the position for now.

Blitzkrieg escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Blitzkrieg showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Funke.
Blitzkrieg closes the distance looking to clinch
and Funke counters with a stiff right hand.

It looks like Kamikazee Blitzkrieg has been cut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Funke throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Horrible takedown by Blitzkrieg or perhaps it was just good defense by Funke which made him look bad.
Blitzkrieg moves out of range as Funke strikes.
Funke thows a left - swing and a miss!
Funke scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Blitzkrieg doesn't seem bothered though.
Funke stuffs the takedown.
Blitzkrieg moves out of range of the strikes.
Blitzkrieg slips a jab and a cross from Funke.
Blitzkrieg on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Funke shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Blitzkrieg as he jumps to the side.
Funke shoots for a double leg takedown but Blitzkrieg sprawls well. He's pushed Funke's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Funke works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Blitzkrieg shoots in but Funke avoids the takedown attempt easily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Funke stuffs the takedown attempt from Blitzkrieg. Blitzkrieg gets slowly back to his feet.
Funke keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Blitzkrieg is breathing heavily.
Funke cracks Blitzkrieg with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Blitzkrieg checks a leg kick nicely.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Blitzkrieg. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Funke lands with a good body shot.

Funke bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Blitzkrieg! He dives into his guard looking to finish!

Blitzkrieg is rocked!
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Funke loads up on a big left hand. Blitzkrieg felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Funke looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Blitzkrieg can't hide his disappointment, as Funke celebrates the victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cody Funke!
