Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Renan Pschwosne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paulo Loco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Renan Pschwosne!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paulo Loco!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Felipe Paraventi and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Loco tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Pschwosne swivels and escapes.

Pschwosne decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Pschwosne in particular looking to stall.
Pschwosne is nestled in close to Loco, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Pschwosne prevents Loco from improving his position.

Pschwosne is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Loco is just riding it out for now. Pschwosne eventually gives up the hold.
Well, if Pschwosne is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Pschwosne is putting a hurting on Loco here, landing some big shots from side control.
Loco manages to get back to half guard.
Pschwosne thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Loco's head.
Pschwosne has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Pschwosne wants to sweep here but Loco controlling him for the moment.
Loco must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Loco is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Pschwosne has his foot on Loco's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Loco works his way back into a safe position though.

Pschwosne is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Loco really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pschwosne. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Loco changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Pschwosne fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Pschwosne stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Loco swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Pschwosne looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Pschwosne rushes Loco and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Loco wants the takedown. Pschwosne is fighting it off but Loco persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Pschwosne's guard against the cage.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Pschwosne connects with a nice short shot to Loco's temple.

Loco has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Pschwosne is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Renan Pschwosne has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paulo Loco.
