PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack Torrance (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jirka Fukala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Torrance comes to the cage accompanied by Shadow on the Sun by Audioslave. Fukala has chosen Baby Bash featuring T-Pain as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. This should be fireworks!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Jirka Fukala!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Dillan Fox and Gregory Folan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fukala cracks Torrance with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Torrance uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Fukala.
A big left from Fukala misses.
Fukala scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Torrance doesn't seem bothered though.
Fukala misses with a hook.
Fukala closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Torrance throws a jab when Fukala was well out of range.
Torrance has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Fukala finds it's way round the side to connect with Torrance's head.

Torrance smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Torrance buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Torrance throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Torrance looks to land a left hand but Fukala moved out of range nicely.
A slow jab from Fukala misses its intended target.
Torrance moves away from the strike by Fukala.
Jab, jab by Torrance - just one landing.
Fukala misses with a leg kick
and Torrance counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Jack Torrance is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Fukala decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Torrance has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Fukala is working away from the top position though.
Fukala is trying to control the action in half guard but Torrance is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Fukala trying to mount his opponent but Torrance defends it.
Torrance is trying to stand.
Torrance on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Torrance tries to get out of the position.

Fukala is trying for a kimura here. Torrance looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Fukala wins by kimura!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Jirka Fukala!
A very excited looking Jirka Fukala rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
