Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between King Penguin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dmitri Ivanov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ivanov moves into the clinch.
Ivanov connects with a knee to the head.

It looks like King Penguin has been cut.

Ivanov manages to break the clinch.

Ivanov closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Ivanov lands in his opponent's guard.
Penguin might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Ivanov not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Ivanov drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ivanov jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Penguin could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Penguin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ivanov on the ground.

Ivanov decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Penguin, up you get!

Ivanov moves into the clinch.

Ivanov is trying to trip Penguin. He has hold of a leg but Penguin is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Ivanov persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Ivanov is stalling in the full guard.
Ivanov postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Ivanov stands up over Penguin, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Ivanov won't allow Penguin to get back to his feet.

Ivanov is stalling in the full guard.
Ivanov is pushing down on Penguin's leg trying to pass to half guard. Penguin is fighting to maintain full guard but Ivanov has managed to sneak the leg through.

and Ivanov counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Penguin fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Ivanov is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Ivanov gets to his feet. Penguin looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

King Penguin's cut is getting worse.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ivanov stays in close to Penguin's body and controls the position.
Ivanov has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Let's hope that Ivanov has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Penguin gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Ivanov to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Ivanov is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Ivanov gets to his feet - Penguin follows without any prompting.

Ivanov closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Penguin is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Ivanov has taken his back!

Ivanov is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Penguin has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Ivanov has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Penguin taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Ivanov doesn't care though - he's delighted!
