PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Anders Hallage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luiz Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hallage kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is High on Fire - Blessed Black Wings. Luiz Miller will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Anders Hallage!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Luiz Miller!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Yves DeLean and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miller misses with a series of wild punches.

Hallage has closed the distance and engaged Miller in a clinch.
Miller fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

and Hallage counters with a shoot takedown. Miller fights it but they end up in guard.
Miller manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Miller tries to control but Hallage wriggling away.
Hallage bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Hallage stops Miller from standing up.

Hallage is standing up over Miller. Miller looks to escape but Hallage dives into side control.
Miller on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Hallage takes a little break here. Miller wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Hallage seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Miller for as long as he can get away with.

Hallage drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hallage jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Miller.

Luiz Miller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Miller throws a knee to the head but misses.

Hallage is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Miller knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
