Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shah Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeandre Braaf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Shah Khan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jeandre Braaf!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Valeri Chadov and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Khan.
Braaf looks to land a combination but Khan avoids it well.
Braaf fails with a takedown attempt.
Braaf shoots in but no luck this time.
Braaf tries to close the distance and clinch up but Khan swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Braaf stuffs the takedown.
Braaf takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Khan misses with a takedown attempt - Braaf sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shah Khan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Khan misses with a wild combination.
Braaf shoots in but Khan avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Khan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Braaf tries to avoid it but Khan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Braaf to the ground. Braaf escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Khan shoots in for a takedown but Braaf shows good takedown defense.
Khan scores with a head kick. Braaf tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Braaf looks for a takedown but Khan sprawls well.

Braaf is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Khan's half guard.
Khan wants to control but Braaf is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Khan is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Braaf really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Khan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Braaf is trying to control the action in half guard but Khan is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Khan wants to get back to his feet.
Khan might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Khan keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Khan tries to roll over but Braaf keeps him under control.
Khan is breathing heavily.
Braaf trying to control from half guard but Khan is working away.
Braaf wants to stand but Khan has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Braaf shoots in looking for a takedown. Khan tries to sprawl out of it but Braaf keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Khan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Khan closes the distance and clinches.

Khan jumps guard.

Khan is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Braaf throwing strikes from guard but Khan blocks nicely.
Braaf trying to control but Khan is working from the bottom.
Khan wants to sweep here but Braaf controlling him for the moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Braaf wants to stand but Khan has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Braaf must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Khan wants to improve his position but instead Braaf has moved into half guard.
Khan scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Braaf manages to mount him!
Khan is squirming around, avoiding Braaf's attempts to control the action.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Braaf goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Khan turns into him and now he's in Braaf's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jeandre Braaf will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Braaf shoots in for a double leg but Khan sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Braaf moves in looking to clinch but Khan pushes him off.
Braaf tries to clinch up.
Khan lands with a nice body kick.

Khan has Braaf up against the cage in a clinch.

Khan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Khan.

Braaf drives through with a takedown into Khan's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Khan looking to hit a scissor sweep but Braaf is one step ahead there.
Braaf controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Braaf tries to free his leg and advance position but Khan is retaining full guard.

Khan has his foot on Braaf's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Braaf works his way back into a safe position though.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Khan scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Khan moves out of range of the leg kick from Braaf.
Khan circles away from the clinch attempt.
Braaf shoots in and drives through. Khan sprawls well.
Khan throws a nice head kick!
The fight stays on the outside here - Khan looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Khan moves in looking to clinch but Braaf pushes him off.

Braaf shoots in for a double leg but Khan sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Shah Khan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeandre Braaf.
Braaf throws a head kick that misses.
Khan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Braaf's waist but Braaf gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Khan off to one side.
Braaf fails to land the takedown.
Khan fails with a takedown attempt.
Braaf shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Khan as he avoids it easily.
Horrible takedown by Khan or perhaps it was just good defense by Braaf which made him look bad.

Braaf manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Khan on his heels. He'll look to pass Khan's guard now, I'm sure.

Braaf wants to get up but he can't break Khan's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Braaf gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Braaf fails to pull guard.

Khan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Khan moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Khan fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Braaf shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Khan but Khan pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Braaf leaves Khan with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Braaf drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Braaf wants to lay and pray for a moment but Khan keeps working.

Khan is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Braaf misses with the ground and pound.

Braaf goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Khan has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Braaf but great work by Khan.
Braaf is trying to buck Khan off.
Khan throws an elbow but Braaf slips to the side and avoids it well.

Braaf is trying to get back to half guard.
Khan has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Braaf!
Khan throws some wild stikes that Braaf manages to avoid easily.
Braaf is looking to improve his position but Khan isn't that keen on the idea.
Braaf tries to control the position but Khan now has his back.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Braaf wants to control his opponent's hands but Khan gets his hands free.
Khan throwing wild punches that miss their target.
Braaf breaks Khan's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Khan had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Braaf defends it easily.
Braaf works a leg free and moves into half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jeandre Braaf comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Braaf winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
