Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Gwyn Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, Bryan Sherk!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Paul Tew and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sherk avoids the head kick by Jones.
Jones misses with a leg kick.
Jones looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Jones staying out of range there.
Jones throws a body kick that misses.
Sherk uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jones.
Jones looks to score with a jab to the body but Sherk is just out of range.
Jones tries to score with a low kick but Sherk moves his leg out of the way.
Jones tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Jones throws a low kick, looking for Sherk's leg but Sherk calmly moves out of range.
A nice inside leg kick there by Jones. That's going to slow Sherk down.
Sherk changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

A solid leg kick lands there for Jones.

Sherk shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Jones is trying to defend but Sherk finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Jones is in trouble now - Sherk has advanced to mount!
Sherk unloads with some shots from mount but Jones bucks and avoids them well.
Sherk throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Jones because Sherk loaded up on that one.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sherk throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Sherk swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Jones is now in Sherk's guard. A big mistake from Sherk there, giving up the dominant position!
Jones wants to control from the top but Sherk keeps moving.
Jones not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Sherk wants to sweep but no luck.

Jones trying to control but Sherk is working from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Gwyn Jones just wasn't active enough.
A head kick misses from Jones.
Sherk blocks a low kick nicely.

Sherk takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Sherk is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jones.

Jones breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Jones tries to clinch there but Sherk circles away.

The fighters circling - Sherk throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Jones staying out of range there.
Jones pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Jones throws a half hearted mid kick.
Sherk avoids the head kick by Jones.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jones looks for the body kick but Sherk saw that one coming.
Jones lands with a kick to the temple. Sherk shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Sherk comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Jones bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

Gwyn Jones is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Jones pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Sherk misses with a straight left.
Jones throws a leg kick but Sherk checks it.
Sherk avoids the head kick by Jones.
Gwyn Jones is winning the standup battle so far.

Jones scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Jones throws a head kick but Sherk moves out of range.
Sherk lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Jones walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Jones goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

It looks like Bryan Sherk has been cut.

Sherk throws a poor cross that misses
and Jones counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Sherk is lucky that one didn't land flush.


Sherk is rocked!
Sherk takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Sherk is still on wobbly legs! Can Jones finish him?
Sherk takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jones fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Sherk.

Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Jones throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Sherk is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!
