The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ali swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Silva doesn't manage to clinch there - Ali circles away.
Silva avoids the body shot from Ali.
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch but Ali swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Ali throws a head kick but Silva moves out of range.
Ali lunges at Silva with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Silva's hand.
Silva moves in looking to clinch but Ali pushes him off.

Silva does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Chemical Ali seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ali gets control of Silva's arms and successfully pulls guard. Ali will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Silva has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Silva throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Ali connects with a good right hand that stumbles Silva. Silva circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Chemical Ali showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Silva wants to stand but Ali is controlling his posture from full guard.

Ali has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Silva doesn't defend quickly enough and Ali has managed to lock this one up! Can Silva escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Ali on a fantastic submission victory.
