The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vantrell gets caught napping as Koenig dives in and scores a takedown. Vantrell manages to retain guard.

Koenig drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Vantrell manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Koenig has Vantrell in his guard.

Vantrell stands up over Koenig, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Vantrell has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Koenig is working away from the top position though.

Koenig really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vantrell. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Koenig is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Vantrell has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Koenig is looking to defend but Vantrell has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Koenig! Vantrell pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Koenig taps out and this one is all over!
