Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dave Neil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darcy Lilo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Neil shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Lilo misses with an uppercut.
Lilo swinging wildly here.
Lilo swings for the body but Neil moves out of range.
Lilo goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Neil fails to land the takedown.
Sloppy strikes from Lilo. Those never looked like landing.
Neil shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Lilo counters with a thumping low kick.

Neil drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Neil jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Darcy Lilo wasn't active enough on the ground.

Neil shoots in looking for a takedown but Lilo manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Neil's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Neil takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Neil forces Lilo back against the cage and clinches.

Lilo lands a left and a right that send Neil crashing to the mat, dazed. Lilo thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Neil shoots in and drives through. Lilo sprawls well.
Oh Neil is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Neil looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lilo is fending him off so far but Neil persists. Nope, Lilo circles away and we're back to standing.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Lilo jabs Neil to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Neil dives in and grabs Lilo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lilo pushes down on Neil's head and hops out.

Neil is trying to drag Lilo to the mat but Lilo just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Neil will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.
Neil takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Lilo stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lilo wants it to stay on the feet.

Neil goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Lilo has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Neil but great work by Lilo.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Lilo grinds an elbow into Neil's temple.
Darcy Lilo is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Lilo cracks Neil with a big right hand but Neil just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Lilo content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Neil can't do much from the bottom here.
Neil tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Lilo presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
