Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marlon Chambers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Marens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chambers kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is I'm A Souljah. The crowd seem to be enjoying Marens's choice of entrance music: Pittbull - Give me everything. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chambers shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Marens napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Marens looks to move to half guard but instead Chambers has passed into mount! Damn!
Marens regains half guard.
Chambers is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Chambers tries to pass the half guard into mount. Marens knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Marens is trying to control but Chambers passes into side control!

Chambers lands a decent elbow from side control.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Marens tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Chambers moves nicely into side control.
Chambers remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
