The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

AlTurk looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
AlTurk stays in close to Silva's body and controls the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

AlTurk gets to his feet. Silva looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Silva moves into range and connects with a jab.
AlTurk fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Silva dodges the punch combination from AlTurk.
AlTurk throws a sloppy head kick and Silva moves out of range easily.

AlTurk drives through with a takedown into guard.

Silva can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as AlTurk controls the pace.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Mustafa AlTurk just wasn't active enough.
Silva's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Silva duly obliges.

It looks like Mustafa AlTurk has been cut.
Antonio Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva lands with a kick to the temple. AlTurk shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
AlTurk shoots in looking for a takedown but Silva manages to keep the fight standing, pushing AlTurk's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
No joy there for Silva, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! AlTurk crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Silva - the referee stops the clock and AlTurk gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Silva. AlTurk manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Silva thows a body shot but no joy.
Silva lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Silva tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Silva lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as AlTurk backs up against the cage.
Silva moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Silva jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Silva throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Silva throws a head kick that AlTurk semi-blocks.
Silva lands a nice looking kick to the body. AlTurk takes a step back to recover.

AlTurk changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Silva looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
AlTurk content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

AlTurk is working to tighten is grip on Silva's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Silva has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but AlTurk is really squeezing tight and eventually Silva passes out! AlTurk breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
